I am a certified Death Doula and have offered my services
to the commmunity since 2021.
I received Death Doula Certification in January 2021. I am currently a student completing a Funeral Service Diploma, as well as a Dementia Care Certificate at Mount Royal University. I completed a Vigil Planning Certificate in November 2021, and an End of Life Animal/Pet Death Care Certificate in March 2022. Other plans include completing certification in Reiki and Advanced Dementia Care, and Funeral Celebrant to further my knowledge to serve the community.
"Doula in the Den is a non-denominational,
egalitarian organization because I believe everyone deserves dignity & a safe space in life and in death"
We can visit you as a unique two member team.
This is Oliver, a Newfypoo. He is my lovable guy who is here for visits as an animal companion to clients (only with an invitation, of course).
Whether you are at the end of your life or not, we are both around to help you work through your own death or death of your person or pet.
Animal companions really can help you when you need it most.
I can provide proof of a clear
Criminal Record check
upon request.
No discrimination, all are welcome.
Please reach us at doulaintheden@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Death Doulas offer non-medical end-of-life care and support for people, pets and their families or caregivers. We can offer advice and consulting for personal care or health care choices along with after death care, and we can assist in preparing important documents needed. There are other services that we can provide, as all Death Doulas can offer something different, and ther services I can provide are listed here.
No - anyone at any time can work with a Death Doula.
Although we do work with those who are at the end of their life or have a terminal diagnosis, we can also help you make decisions for end-of-life care at any stage of your life. We can also help you create personal directives, and even support you while you work through a recent death of a loved person or pet.
I like to focus my care as a Legacy Doula (storytelling and creating a lasting memory for family), an 11th Hour Doula (active care and service during the time of death/ transition, and support for family during this time), and as a Post Mortem Doula (care for the person or pet after their transition, and support for your family during this time)
All service information can be found here. You are welcome to send me an e-mail at your convenience or contact me here to discuss the care you wish for.
Absolutely. I believe everyone deserves the same level of care no matter the financial or social circumstance you may be facing. I offer flexible payment options, plans and agreements that we can discuss in our first meeting or consultation.
Thank you for your visit today.
Contact me if you need support, have any questions,
or want to know how I can be of service to you.
