This is a non-medical care service

Doula in the Den is a non-denominational, egalitarian organization 

and I will respect ALL religious or cultural beliefs

Services offered & provided:

(please pick or consider all services that apply, 

even if you don't eventually book them, it is better to discuss and dismiss services that you don't want than to not know if you want or need it at all) 

• Spiritual & emotional support 
• Companionship (in-person or by phone)
• Personal Directive (Advanced Care Directive)
• Death education (visits with family)
• Care consulting for "peace of mind"
• Resource & logistical support with important documents
• Respite care or dementia care assistance
• 1-on-1 therapeutic art sessions (for patient or family) 
• "Legacy" projects & storytelling 
• Light house cleaning, pet care assistance & grocery shopping
• Non-medical pain management
• "Vigil Plan" (End-of-Life Care Plan)
• Sitting vigil & "Bedside Ceremonies"
• MAiD advocacy & support
• Living Funerals, Home Funeral or Memorial Services
• "Legacy Plan" & Funeral or Memorial Plan 
• Funeral or Memorial officiating & eulogy writing
• Estate cleaning/ organization support
• In-person or virtual support for family members after transition

 (if requested) 

I recommend 3-9 months of services

We can work out a plan to suit your needs

& this will be discussed during first consultation

based on current circumstance or situation. 

Everyone will get the same level of care regardless of pricing agreement.

In-home "wellness checks" (welfare checks) for someone who lives alone and might want or need a companion to check on them on a regular basis

These in-home checks happen every 3 days and will include:

(but not limited to)

• Make sure your person has fresh/good inventory of food
• Cleaning up any clutter or mess to prevent trips or falls
• Ensuring the home is secure & safe
• Making sure your person is able to dress and clean themselves

(are not sitting in any soiled or dirty clothing or bedding)

• Regular updates with you after each visit (via phone or email)
• Phone check-ins on "off days" (optional)

These services are ideal for people who have a family member or loved person here in Calgary or the surrounding areas who you may not be able to visit or help as much as you would like to due to your own circumstance, schedule or location.

$30 per visit

Services are booked 1 month at a time, no obligation or long-term contracts,

please give 24 hours notice for cancelation of this service

Price for services can be discussed during first consultation

based on current circumstance or situation.

End-of-life care for animals/pets & after-death support for their caregivers

 Services offered:

(but not limited to)

• "End-of-Life Care Plan"
• "Vigil Plan" & sitting vigil
• Respite care for caregivers
• Pain management
• Transportation (for yourself or pet to veterinary appointments)
• Home Funerals or Memorials 
• Final disposition assistance 
• In-person or virtual support for pet-parent (if requested)  

I recommend 1-3 months of services
